Tour Further LLC is a dynamic guide company that evolved from a core group of back-country skiers from Summit County, Colorado wishing to explore more remote areas of the northern Rocky Mountains during the winter months via ski-mountaineering. Over time, casual randonee ski tours began to require more advanced travel techniques, increased knowledge of local snow and avalanche conditions, and a desire to seek out a variety of career development programs aimed at increasing awareness through a blend of continued education and experience. Ultimately, these progressions have been incorporated with concepts and ideologies learned while being mentored by professional guides in the South American Andes, Alaska’s Chugach Range, the Italian Dolomites and the European Alps.

Tour Further offers both the local community and recreational tourists a flexible, guided ski or Nordic experience during which clients will be offered a better understanding of local ecology, safe travel techniques in complex terrain and an appreciation for the more developed mentality associated with professional guiding. Additionally, clientele will be more prepared for future, unguided ski-tours and likewise be encouraged to return to Tour Further for educational courses such as terrain assessment, advanced downhill ski techniques and a basic understanding of avalanche phenomena.
